Let's Do...Organic® Coconut Flour is made from fresh, ripe organic coconuts. After manually separating the rich, white coconut meat from its shell, we shred and press it to extract most of the fat and moisture, then mill the defatted coconut into a fine flour. Although the texture is very similar to wheat flour, it is completely gluten free, high in fiber and features 20% protein! It's wonderful in baked goods and delicious in your favorite smoothies. Let's Do...Organic® Coconut Flour may replace wheat flour completely in many recipes with great results (see our brownies recipe for a perfect example). In other recipes try replacing 25% of the wheat (or other grain) flour with coconut flour, but be sure to increase your liquid by the same measure. For example: If your recipe calls for 2 cups of flour and 1 cup of water, try using 1/2 cup coconut flour + 1 1/2 cups of any other flour and add an additional 1/2 cup water to total 1 1/2 cups water.
