Smart shoppers know that eating healthy is fun and tasty! Get creative in the kitchen by combining some of your favorite treats for an anytime snack. Choosing the right snacks can help build your nutrition while serving as opportunity to enjoy something delicious.

For many people spring is a season of renewal! Here are some tasty snack ideas to get you invigorated for spring:

9 Smart Snack Ideas:

  1. Baby carrots with hummus or guacamole
  2. Low fat Greek yogurt topped with walnuts & drizzle of honey
  3. Banana and peanut butter
  4. Rice cake topped with hard boiled egg & teaspoon of mayo
  5. Spicy almonds
  6. 1/2 pear with slice of cheese & 3-4 whole grain crackers
  7. 1/2 bagel topped with low-fat ricotta and sliced strawberries
  8. Crunchy veggies instead of chips with your favorite low-fat salad dressing for dipping

Strawberry Cottage Cheese “Ice Cream”

Strawberry Cottage Cheese Ice Cream

Prep: 10 minutes

Makes: 2 Servings

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup 2% Good Culture® Low-Fat Cottage Cheese
  • ½ cup chopped fresh strawberries
  • 1 Tbsp PB2 Powdered Peanut Butter
  • 2 teaspoons Stevia or honey
  • 2 Tbsp Dark Chocolate Chips

Directions:

  1. In a food processor, add cottage cheese, strawberries, PB2 Powder, stevia or honey and process until smooth.
  2. Line a freezer safe container with parchment paper (optional). Pour cottage cheese mixture into container.
  3. Freeze for 2 to 3 hours. Allow to sit at room temperature for about 15 minutes before serving to soften just slightly.
  4. Scoop into two bowls and top each bowl with 1 Tbsp of Dark Chocolate chips. Enjoy!
