The 4th of July is right around the corner! Time to celebrate with a good old American cookout.

Start with the classics! Hot dogs and hamburgers are always winners. Pre-formed burger patties will cut down on prep time. And don’t forget the buns!

You can also step up your protein game with pork ribs or Rancher’s Legend ribeyes. For the ribs, you’ll need to do a little planning ahead. An overnight marinade will add flavor and help them become fall-off-the-bone tender.

Meat-and-veggie skewers are another great choice! You can get Rancher’s Legend beef cubes in the perfect skewer size to make easy kebabs.

Or grill Green Way Organic chicken thighs! Pro tip: to get crispy chicken skin, pat dry before grilling and keep heat moderately low. Too high, and the fat in the skin will melt away.


For sides, try adding something a little unexpected to the menu this year!

Have you ever grilled bread? Pick up a loaf from our bakery, and cut it into 1” slices. Brush with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper before grilling until lightly toasted. Crunchy, smoky, and delish!

You can grill lettuce the same way. Cut a head of romaine in half, drizzle with olive oil, salt and pepper, and grill for about 5 minutes. Sounds odd, but the grill gives the lettuce a whole new depth of flavor. Top with a dollop of Green Way Caesar or Goddess Salad Dressing for a restaurant-quality side.


For something sweet, try this grilled stone fruit recipe. Grill peaches, plums, and nectarines for a couple minutes on each side. For the sauce, start with Greek yogurt and Foodtown Honey. This unexpected dessert will end your 4th of July party with a bang, just in time for fireworks!
