The last of our favorite Summer holidays is upon us — Labor Day! Although the season is starting to wind down, temperatures will be just warm enough for an outdoor party or picnic. Impress your guests with this fresh fruit and herb salad that captures the flavors of the waning Summer.
Few flavors are more evocative of summer than fresh peaches. This simple salad recipe has only five ingredients and comes together in less than five minutes. Chopped peaches and honey provide perfect sweetness while goat cheese brings a salty tang. This recipe calls for lemon goat cheese, but plain would work well, too.
Relax and lay back on the grass, as Labor Day is a day set aside to pay tribute to working men and women! In the 1880’s, manufacturing workers were working an average of 60 hours a week – calling for shorter workweeks and more days off.
