Ghastly Goodies for a Grown-Up Halloween
It’s Halloween party time!
Halloween parties provide some of the best opportunities to have fun with food presentation! You can turn basic party snacks into witches, ghosts, spiders, and all sorts of creepy crawlies.
Wrap cocktail franks in thin strips of dough for mummified pigs in a blanket. Or make a cheese ball with cream cheese, goat cheese, and cheddar. Shape it into a pumpkin and use a toothpick to score lines in the side. Give it a pretzel stem to complete the pumpkin-look!
For dessert, dip strawberries in white chocolate and pipe a tiny face on each for a ghostly dessert. Or if you love to bake, make an apple pie with a spider web lattice on top.
To drink, try this bubbling cauldron of Witches Brew Punch!
Witches Brew Punch
Pour all ingredients together in a punch bowl. Place the punch bowl inside a larger bowl (or cauldron!). Put some chunks of dry ice in between the punch bowl and the larger bowl. Wear gloves, and make sure not to get the dry ice in the punch. Pour a little water over the dry ice for a smoky effect that will turn your punch into a witches brew.
