Left Hand 400 Pound Monkey

Why does the world need another IPA? Because this one ain't like them others. We use hops of a different color, earthy and herbal, well-balanced by bready malt. The result? An English-style IPA that separates itself from the ubiquitous bunch. Cartloads of bitter monkeys flinging wasteful amounts of bananas into the jungle, we're so done with that. Sometimes you're not in the mood for what everyone else is having. Facebook. Twitter. Left Hand Brewing Company has been brewing world-class award-winning beers since its founding in 1993. We see our beers as a wonderful liquid food to complement meals and social occasions. We strive for the perfect balance and harmony between malt and hops in every beer - from our lightest to our darkest - allowing our consumers a truly unique flavor experience in every glass. The name Left Hand comes from the Arapahoe Indian word Niwot which means left hand. Niwot was a Southern Arapahoe Indian Chief who wintered with his tribe in the Boulder Valley area of Colorado. There is a town, a creek, a canyon, a mountain and now an award-winning brewery named after Chief Niwot.
